Winchester Speedway Season Opener Canceled

The delayed Season Opener that was scheduled for today has been canceled due to the heavy rain over the past two days.

With all of the rain we've had, the area around the track is completely saturated and there's no way it will dry enough this afternoon.

The 2008 racing season will kick off next weekend with the first race of the Super Late Model Six Pack Shootout Series. Open Wheel, Mini-Modified, and Front Wheel Drive classes WILL NOT be in action.

All other classes WILL be racing. It will be a regular points race for all classes.

The Super Late Models will fight it out for $1,500 to win and establish their position in the points battle for the Six Pack Shootout points fund.

We will have opportunities for children to participate in the Six Pack Shootout, so bring out the children next weekend.

Regular admission prices are in effect for this race.

Since we have not had a race since the Winterfest, we will also have an open practice session next Friday for all classes. Gates will open at 5 pm. Practice will run from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Admission to the pit area will be $15 per person.
