Winchester Speedway Season Opener This Saturday

Winchester, TN (March 11, 2008) - Winchester Speedway is set to kick off the 2008 racing season this Saturday March 15th with all classes in action. Every class will be racing for double points to begin the season.

"I would assume that a lot of the Super Late Model drivers will also use this race to get ready for the first of the six "Six Pack Shootout" races next weekend" states track owner, Darrell Day. March 22 will be the first round of the six race series featuring over $33,000 in purse money along with over $12,000 in cash and prizes for the points fund at the end of the year.

"With all of the super sponsors coming on board, this is shaping up to be an exciting series" says Darrell.

Gates will open this Saturday at 3:30pm.

General Admission prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 11, and children 5 and under admitted free.

Pit passes are $25 for adults, $12 for children ages 6 to 11, and children 5 and under admitted free.

Driver's meeting will be at 5pm; hot lapping will commence at 5:30pm and then it's wall to wall racing action.
