Southern Regional Racing Series event at Wartburg Speedway Postponed,

Mountain Raceway event still a go!

Wartburg, TN (April 11, 2008)—Officials with Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN have postponed the Southern Regional Racing Series event scheduled for Friday April 11, 2008 due to rain in the area and forecasted heavy amounts of rain to fall on the grounds over the next several hours.

The SRRS event will now be tentatively scheduled for Friday May 9th at Wartburg, TN and held in conjunction with the Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series event on Saturday May 10th at the Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN.

The Southern Regional Racing Series will still visit the Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN on Saturday night April 12th paying $3,000 to win / $300 to start for Super Late Models plus supporting divisions. Start times for the April 12th event will be gates opening at 2:00 p.m. EST and Driver’s Meeting slated for 3:30 p.m. EST and Hot Laps scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Wartburg Speedway will now move forward to the Morgan County Pro-Hardware sponsored $1,200 to win Sportsman event on Friday Night April 18th. The Super Late Models plus supporting divisions will be in attendance for the April 18th event. The Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series will visit the Wartburg Speedway on Saturday night April 26th paying $3,000 to win.
