Music City Motorplex Moves Fan Appreciation Night Opener to April 12
NASHVILLE, TN- Record rain fail over the past week in the Nashville area washed out the scheduled event Saturday Night at Music City Motorplex. After careful review of the track conditions by management and competitors, it was agreed that the track surface was not up to the standards that would allow for safe, competitive races our fans deserve.
Music City Motorplex has and will continue to work on a long term contract extension that will allow for improvements to be made on the track surface that would prevent conditions that arise during rainy periods.
The Late Model 150 lap event will be the feature event for April 12, along with the Super Trucks, Grand Nationals, and a full field of ¼ mile action featuring the ever popular ThunderStox, Legends, Bandoleros, and Dwarf cars. The schedule will be moved up one hour, with pit gates opening at 11am, practices at 12:15pm, qualifying at 3:15 pm and racing at 5:30 PM.
The Super Truck 100 will be held Saturday, April 19, and the Grand National Sportsman 75 lap will be the feature event April 26, 2008.
Music City Motorplex “Fan Appreciate Night” will also feature free admission to the grandstands from 4pm to 7pm on April 12 as advertised.
