WIN FREE GASOLINE AT TAZEWELL THUNDER EVENT THIS WEEKEND

Tazewell, TN (4/4/08) Goddard Guttering of Knoxville and Pilot Food Marts present the Goddard Guttering Gas Give-A-Way. Race fans can stop by the Racin' with Rex Souvenir Trailer and register to win $25 in free gasoline from any Pilot Food Mart. A random drawing will be held at each Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series Event in 2008. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible.

Goddard Guttering is the "Official Guttering, Vinyl Siding and Replacement Windows Company" of the Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series.

Inclement weather has postponed the $3,000 to win 3rd Annual Thunder Thaw 50 on three previous occasions and as rain continues to fall throughout the region once again this week, officials will continue to monitor the race track and the weather and will make an assessment as to when or if the program would move to Sunday afternoon April 6th. In the meantime it is still scheduled for Saturday night April 5th with pit gates scheduled to open at 3PM; grandstands at 4PM and qualifying is slated for 6PM.

Drivers expected include 2008 Series Contenders Anthony White of Clinton, Rick Rogers of Knoxville, Tommy Kerr of Maryville, Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, David Payne of Murphy, NC, Dan Tipton of Kingston, Richard Smith of Science Hill, KY, Mike Weeks of Friendsville, Stacy Boles of Claxton, Jeff Wolfenbarger of Clinton, Jeff Maupin of Greenville, Mark Douglas of Knoxville, April Farmer of Livingston, and Jeff Neubert of Knoxville. Other regional drivers expected include Vic Hill of Morristown, Brian Smith of Barbourville, KY, Steve Smith of Powell, Marty Calloway of Maynardville, Troy Eads of Tazewell, Jack Trammel of Knoxville and many more.

In addition to the $3,000 to win A-Main for The Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series Late Models, the Steel Head Late Models will run for $1,000 to win. Other classes in action will include the Fastback Crate Late Models, Street and Modified Street. The Four-Cylinder Division will be off.

General admission for the "Thunder Thaw 50" is set at $16, with children 10-years-old and younger admitted into the grandstands FREE of charge. Pit admission is set at $30.
